Saranya to romance Krish

After playing village belle and sister roles in a number of Malayalam and Tamil films, actress Saranya Mohan will next be seen playing the lead in Rajesh Kannankara’s Thakkali.
The actress is on a makeover mode to suit the character, which is that of a chic doctor. Interestingly, she will play the love interest of Krish J Satar here.
“I’m excited about my new look.However, I won’t say it is a complete makeover for me. It’s just for the character that I decided to go glam. I will be seen in modern outfits, and it will be a neat look,” says Saranya.
Thakkali revolves around three characters, who get connected through various interesting events. While Krish plays a rich spoiled brat, Saranya will be seen as a service-oriented doctor. How she changes his outlook towards life forms the rest of the plot. DJ Sekhar Menon will also be seen in a prominent role here.
“Thakkalitraces the changes that happen in a person. Before turning red, tomatoes go through a colour change — from light green to dark green to yellow and then to orange and finally red. Similarly, the protagonist too undergoes many changes,” says Rajesh.
The movie is a bilingual and will be made in Tamil as well. The story, script and screenplay are written by Rajesh, whose directorial debut, Ithu Nammude Katha, was a remake of the Tamil film, Nadodigal.
The director claims that the film will set a technical milestone as he is planning to shoot the climax scene using 75 cameras.
Meanwhile, the actress is awaiting the release of her Bollywood debut, Badlapur Boys, which is the remake of her Kollywood film,Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu.
